Earl Gray: Magazine Design

This is a project I did for a Typography Spring 2022. We had to first create a logo for an everyday object. From there we were charged with creating a three-spread magazine to celebrate the object. Below are the results of my work.

The first step was to create a logo for the item. I chose the tea Earl Gray. The letters were hand drawn and then cleaned up in Illustrator.

A font was chosen to pair with the logo for the body of the magazine.

The final magazine required a front and back cover, two articles, and a pull-out poster. I chose articles that I hoped would make tea more accessible to the average American, a desire reflected in the logo design.
